Ofcom lets City Talk change format
Ofcom lets City Talk change format
Industry regulator, Ofcom has agreed that City Talk 105.9 in Liverpool is allowed to play music.

City Talk put in a request, after a relaxation of the rules in February, which until then had prevented stations from fundamentally changing their licence.

What the closure of Channel M Music means to Manchester, by Alistair Beech

Channel M Music (CMM) began in April 2006 with a skeleton staff of producer Daniel Parrot and half a dozen video and sound engineers. There was no grand plan, simply a desire to represent new talent from Greater Manchester and beyond, both in front of and behind the camera.
Journalist Alistair Beech takes an up close and personal look at the loss of Channel M's music programming and its impact on the city, the local music industry and the reputation of the channel and its parent company MEN Media.

City Talk and Key 103 slide in latest Rajars
Two of Bauer’s flagship stations have lost ground in the latest Rajars, with Key 103 falling from 540,000 listeners to 488,000 in the last quarter.

City Talk in Liverpool has also lost 4000 listeners since its first official set of audience figures in December.
