MEN’s Mark Waugh named regional photographer of the year
At the 2007 Picture Editors’ Awards this week, MEN photographer Mark Waugh picked up the top regional accolade while his company colleague Andrew Lambert of the Stockport Express/South Manchester Reporter picked up a special award.

UK'S first TV production apprenticeship programme launched in the North West

The 18 month Advanced Apprenticeship in Media Production will run from September 2007 to June 2009 and the initiative is backed by the BBC, ITV Granada, Lime Pictures and Red Productions. Twenty places will be available in the first year of operation.
