About How-Do

How-Do serves the media and creative industries in the North West of England, offering news, opinion and resources for those working in all aspects of media, marketing, PR and advertising in the region.

How-Do launched on 30th March 2007 and has since gone onto establish itself as the leading and most credible source of news, information and analysis, for the thousands of businesses and 130,000+ people, who work in the North West's creative, media and marketing industries.

How-Do’s major initiatives to date include, the How-Do Awards, the Public Services Communications Awards, the Marketing Society Northern Awards, the How-Do Top 100 Marketers, Top 100 Media, Top 100 Public Services Communicators, Top 100 North West Brands and our Creative Business Forums. These initiatives illustrate how quickly and meaningfully How-Do has taken root in the North West and more new events and features are set to come thick and fast in the coming months.

The How-Do web site currently averages well over a million page views per month, with over 50,000 unique visitors engaging with How-Do each and every month.

How-Do’s weekly newsletter, ‘The Wrap’, which was launched in July 2007, now has over 16,000 subscribers and is adding new readers at a gathering pace. Subscribers’ activities cross all disciplines and increasingly include in-house marketers, both in private and public sector organisations, in addition to creative and media professionals.

Our jobs section is producing excellent results for advertisers. Response - and in particular the quality and locality of the response - to jobs for corporate communication, account management, PR, research and web/digital marketing roles has been first class according to feedback from advertisers. And with single job ad rates from just £249, it's proving to be very popular too!

In the last twelve months, How-Do has also launched three microsites dedicated to promoting media and marketing agencies and companies across the region. The first is the Showcase, which gives businesses in the North West the chance to promote their work and their skills. The second is the Employer Portfolio, which is an opportunity for medium to large businesses to promote themselves as a great place to work. The third and final site is the KnowledgeBank. The KnowledgeBank site allows agencies and companies in the region to share their knowledge and understanding of their particular areas of expertise with How-Do's huge readership.
