Posh's hush-hush visit
IT'S certainly not like Victoria Beckham to shun the flashbulbs.
But Posh Spice quietly sashayed in and out of Manchester yesterday without as much as a single pout to a camera – although The Diary did manage to spy the lissom lovely as she headed to an oh-so-exclusive bash at posh shop Selfridges.
AS I'm sure many a female dieter will agree, part of the fun of losing weight is being able to finally fit into certain types of clothes that are simply out of bounds for the curvier girl.
Like, for example, the knee high boot. It's a staple of many a slimline fashionista's wardrobe, and the envy of those who can't fit into the flipping things.
SPORTING a bit of manly facial fuzz appears to be de rigeur at the moment. But even we had to squint a bit to realise that this fella hiding behind a new beirdy look is none other than former Corrie hunk Rob James Collier.
I try my luck at circuit training, and realise I'm not half as fit as I thought I was. And no, that's blatantly not me in the picture. But sadly there were no generic photos of women writhing around in sweaty agony in our photo archives, strangely enough.
THE glitzy Coronation Street premiere in Manchester this week brought out an interesting mix of celebs on the red carpet.
But by far funniest quote of the night came from former Big Brother contestant Chanelle Hayes.
Asked why she'd wanted to come along, Chanelle trilled: "It's, like, the best night out ever for me, you get to have some drinks, watch Coronation Street and then have some more drinks. It's, like, every girl's dream!". Quite.
I headed along to the Arndale Centre on Saturday to interview Kerry Katona as she launched her new perfume not knowing quite what to expect after that erratic interview on ITV's This Morning with Phil and Fern.
But in the flesh I have to say the former Atomic Kitten star was looking fantastic.
AS many dieter I'm sure will agree, it's a bit of a nightmare once you've lost quite a bit of weight (four stone in my case) to keep the momentum going. So I've had a timely catch-up with personal trainer Mikey Smith to find out the secrets to maintaining good weight loss.
Yes, yesterday counts as one of the greatest days... because I got to meet up with the wonderful Take That lads.
I interviewed Gary Barlow and Mark Owen who were on top form when we met up at Lancashire County Cricket Club where they will next year play three huge concerts for fans.
I've been comparing dieting woes with Cold Feet star John Thomson as he prepares to start rehearsals as Captain Hook in panto. And he tells me: "Women don't have the monopoly on chocolate you know, blokes like it too!" Glad to hear it's not just me with sweet cravings all the time...
Check out X Factor star Leon Jackson in our photos shot at Salford Quays last week - he's grown into quite the young hunk!
HERE is former Coronation Street star Richard Fleeshman with his new girlfriend - the fantastically named young actress Laura Haddock.
The pair stepped out together at the weekend for the Talented Youngster of the Year bash at The Palace Hotel, with Richard confirming for the first time that they are an item. And isn't she a fine catch?
