Yesterday’s announcement that ITV is planning to cut 430 jobs from its regional news service provoked a mixture of outrage and resignation from some quarters, with industrial action now looming on the horizon. However, the outlook for the Granada team was not quite so bleak, with How-Do learning that only 11 per cent of posts would be lost. Or, as an ITV spokesperson explained, “the lowest (staff) reduction in the country.”  Comments (3)
