With Rock Radio revving up to hit the airwaves this Bank Holiday Monday, How-Do sits down to talk with local radio legend Mike Sweeney about his new role at GMG and how he feels the sector is changing… and not necessarily for the better.
In the first instalment Sweeney talks about his hopes for some “brand new old fashioned radio,” while ruminating on why he feels some of the major industry players are facing major industry problems. Part two sees the Salford-born DJ musing on regional accents, cracking the London market and how the onus is now on programme controllers to bring through the next generation of radio talent. Tune in to How-DoTV and see what he has to say... Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
