All Out all in for digital as Dragons Den AP returns | Print |  Email to a friend

All Out Productions in Manchester has major plans afoot as Lyndon Saunders returns to the company.

Saunders started his career at the indie back in 2000, when it was based in London, before joining BBC Entertainment and working as an assistant producer (AP) on Dragon’s Den and Strictly Come Dancing. More recently he was a producer/director on The Lakes for Shiver Productions.

“It’s really exciting to be joining All Out at such a fluid time for the industry, where there are so many opportunities and directions. The company has a quality background in radio production so I’m looking forward to continuing this," he said.

Saunders has also had experience in the digital side, having worked on the BBC's multi-platform offering, Dragon's Den:Online.

It comes as senior producer, Richard McIlroy made the move in reverse, by returning to the BBC and its religion and ethics department.

"Digital Aspirations"

Managing director, Jo Meek, told How-Do that in 12 months time “we see digital aspirations.”

“We are still committed to groundbreaking output for Radio’s Five, One and Four and I can’t emphasize this enough,” she added.

“But we’re now trying to think ahead of ourselves, such as how audio is used in games, in Facebook and thinking about how to use creative in different ways.”

Earlier this month, All Out was chosen as one of 24 companies to take part in BBC’s @North initiative and it’s joined up with Frank Design in Ardwick, which was behind the relaunch of the production company’s website in 2008.

“We are looking at collaborations and partnerships with other companies, so now with the video on board, we are speaking to other, like-minded people to develop strong ideas,” said Meek.

“We are doing exciting things, but we don’t want to limit ourselves to just audio.”

All Out is a subsidiary of Somethin’ Else.
