Following the launch of Key103 jobs in January , Bauer is rolling out the service which it calls ‘Workmoose’ to Radio City and Rock FM to cover Merseyside and Lancashire.

The launch of Key103jobs in January was supported by a £300,000 promotional campaign devised by Head First. The campaign elements not related to on-air or digital promotion were primarily outdoor.

RadioCityjobs and RockFMjobs have each been allocated £140,000 to promote the launch of the new sites.

Bauer claims that since its launch in January the number of unique users of Key103jobs has grown by over 50% and that the service currently offers over 2,500 live jobs across Greater Manchester.  The Workmoose team managing the jobs initiative has increased from 15 to 26 to cope with the additional demand.

Jonathan Turpin, director of Bauer’s digital operations said: “Radio and online recruitment campaigns combined are extremely effective and the combination of having recognised regional radio stations and also a North West offering allows recruiters to benefit from a highly targeted, cost effective service that totally challenges traditional recruitment advertising models.

"All three services are being supported with sustained, high profile on-air, online and outdoor promotions designed to target jobseekers as well as those that are not actively seeking career moves but could be interested if they hear about new opportunities on Key 103, Radio City and Rock FM while they’re driving to and from work or see our thought-provoking advertising campaigns around town.”

In February, MEN Media claimed that its own cross-channel jobs portal – Jobsmine – which it launched in January this year, had taken pole position in Greater Manchester among people searching for jobs with 170,000 visits to the site in January. Jobsmine draws together all of GMG’s interests in Manchester excluding radio – currently.
