BBC Merseyside reveals launch party and more acts for Electric Proms |

A launch party at Heathcotes will kick off BBC Merseyside’s participation in this year’s Electric Proms – a festival that will bring acts such as Razorlight, The Last Shadow Puppets and Tony Christie to the Capital of Culture.
 Razorlight: our friends electric For the first time in its history this year’s show, running from 22 – 26 October, will be hosted by two cities, with the “new moments in music” being broadcast from both Liverpool and London.BBC Merseyside are celebrating the start of the event with a party at Heathcotes on 22 Ocober, ushering in a festival that will see special shows for under 18s, a John Peel night and performances at the Philharmonic Hall from Razorlight and ‘The Puppets.’ Christie will kick off the musical action with a live to the airwaves performance from the Royal Daffodil ferry in the afternoon.
