The BBC Outreach bus is rolling into Burnley and Pendle this week, in an initiative that will see local youths developing their media skills and broadcasting on BBC Radio Lancashire.
The bus will be visiting the City Learning Centre in Townley Park for the rest of the week to host workshops in radio, film, and photo journalism. Over 200 young people will have the chance to work on the theme of ‘Born in Burnley’, with their endeavours subsequently being broadcast on BBC Lancashire in a live show from the centre this Thursday. In addition, students will be able to take part in a ‘BBC Introducing’ show that will also be broadcast on Thursday. The initiative has been set up by the BBC in partnership with Shuttleworth College, Unity College, Marsden Heights Community College, Sir John Thursby Community College, Business in the Community, and Playing for Success. http://www.bbc.co.uk/outreach/ Something to add?
