Blakeway North shoot HD documentary for Sky |

Manchester-based Blakeway North has been commissioned by Sky Real Lives to produce a documentary for their Extraordinary Stories strand.
The 60 minute programme is called A Mother Like Alex, shot in HD it tells the story of Alex Bell. The 28-year-old from Manchester became the first single woman to adopt a child with a disability. She went on to adopt 7 more, most of them have Down’s syndrome. Through a cross-promotion deal with Harper Collins, Sky Real Lives will broadcast the documentary as the book is released. The two companies will also jointly publicise and market the show and book. Blakeway North is part of super-indie Ten Alps, it’s headed by former Granada executive producer Sarah Murch .
