Roger Bolton has decided to stop presenting Radio 4’s Sunday programme after more than 10 years at the helm.
Bolton "After spending most weekends for the past 12 years away from home, in Manchester, I look forward to waking up in my own bed on Sunday mornings. I'll still be listening to Sunday – but in a horizontal position,” he said of the decision.
The show has broadcast context and analysis of the world's major religious stories to its 1.6m listeners.
"It has been a privilege to be Sunday's presenter for so long, not least because I was able to ask questions I wanted to ask anyway in a private capacity, and because I believe it is one of the BBC's most important programmes. I was always a bit scared doing it but I hope that did not show.
"I met, and worked with, some very special people, and I hope to continue to make ethical and religious programmes for the BBC, as well as continuing to present Feedback for Radio 4."
Bolton will leave the show at the end of January. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
