A new voice for XFM Manchester next year, but the return of an old favourite for London listeners to the station.
Fairytale ends in New York Ian Camfield joined the broadcaster at the very start in 1997 and was its drivetime presenter until last year when he quit for New York’s K-Rock Radio.
He continued working for XFM, presenting Import:Export, a show dedicated to new American bands and how British groups were doing in the States. Following changes at the American station (a move to classic rock) he’s back to present a weekday afternoon show in Manchester and London. While changes in New York brought him back, it’s a very different XFM that he returns to - new owners and stations sold left right and centre. Something to add?
