After working at Granada in the 1990s he worked as a researcher and associate producer at Endemol on shows including Chained, Flatmates and Bar Wars, before producing and series producing programmes such as The Games, Space Cadets, and Celebrity Big Brother. He joined Channel 4 in 2007.
The BBC’s head of entertainment and events, Katie Taylor, said: "I am thrilled that David is joining the Entertainment family at the BBC. With a background in award-winning and iconic shows such as Stars In Their Eyes, You’ve Been Framed and Fame Academy, as well as credits on a range of popular shows for Channel 4 such as Big Brother, Shattered and Made In Chelsea, David brings a unique skill set and insight to complement BBC’s in-house talent base."
