The Altrincham-based studios of Chapman Entertainment have completed work on the third series of the increasingly popular pre-school children's programme Fifi and the Flowertots, with Jane Horrocks returning to voice the central character of Fifi Forget-Me-Not.

Chapman Entertainment, set up by Bob The Builder originator and Roary The Racing Car designer and developer Keith Chapman in 2001, has produced 13 ten minute episodes of the show to air on Five's Milkshake! line-up from the coming Bank Holiday weekend (the first show is at 8.05am on 1 May).

Series three sees the firm introducing new characters - twin sisters Buttercup and Daisy, who live in a converted milk bucket called ‘Milk Bucket House’ - as well as developing existing favourites such as Primrose, Poppy and Violet, Bumble the Bee, Aunt Tulip, Webby, Diggly, Pip Gooseberry, and, last but far from least, the 'villains' of the piece Stingo and Slugsy.

Fifi: blooming success for Chapman
Chapman said of the show: "Fifi and the Flowertots is a truly British programme produced in Manchester and series three combines exciting new CGI with stop frame animation.

"It is a great show that appeals to both girls and boys, and I’m pleased to say that four years on, Fifi and her Flowertot friends are as adorable as ever."

The show has recorded continued success in its lifetime and, with 52 licensees in the UK, has also succeeded in lucrative marketing spin offs.

Retail sales of the 24.5m Fifi and the Flowertots products sold to date has amassed £157m at the checkout, while it was also the number one girls preschool license in 2008 (December NPD)
