The cobbled carriageways of Weatherfield will soon be appearing on the controversial Google Street View application after executives at ITV struck a deal with the search engine giant.
According to reports in today's press, Google's Street View car has already motored onto the set of Coronation Street to capture a 360-degree view of the surroundings.
This will now be used to build a special Corrie feature on Street View, allowing fans the opportunity to navigate themselves round famed landmarks such as the Rover's Return and Roy's Rolls Cafe.
A Google spokesperson told the press that "this is the first ever TV soap to be photographed."
Street View has had a high profile, yet troubled, existence since launching in March this year, with some groups claiming that it raises serious privacy concerns.
