In case any How-Doers fell prey to a day-long coma yesterday, or were temporarily abducted for some probing questions by aliens, it’s worth reporting, for the record, that Greater Manchester’s very own Danny Boyle did rather well at some big awards shindig over in the US on Monday morning.
 Boyle The effervescent Boyle was understandably delighted by his success and can therefore be forgiven for his widely reported ‘Tigger’ jumping routine (although not for The Beach, Ed). Boyle started his career in television, directing programmes including Inspector Morse and Mr Wroe’s Virgins. Some other actors and actresses won some other awards too, apparently. Something to add?
