Event aims to determine ‘Manchester’s position as a global media hub’ |

Inward investment agency MIDAS is to host an event this week looking at Manchester’s purported position as a “global hub for the creative and media sector.”
 A happening hub? The event takes place on Wednesday at the Circle Club, starting at 6.30pm, and features keynote speakers Kip Meek, formerly chair of Ofcom, and Mediacity’s MD Brian Greasley.It is titled ‘Hollywood, London, Manchester? The development of a global media hub’ and will focus on topical issues such as the relocation of five BBC departments to Salford. MIDAS business development manager Katie Gallagher said of the gathering: “This is a very exciting and important time for Manchester’s creative and media sector. “It’s essential that the sector in Manchester can come together to talk about the future and how we can all benefit from becoming a media hub.” www.investinmanchester.com Something to add?
