Galaxy Radio in Manchester has launched an on-air and online campaign together with street promotions to drive awareness of DJ Rob Ellis’ breakfast show.
The campaign has been dubbed ‘Robellution’.
In addition to on-air and online promotion, the station has commissioned promotional teams to get out and about in Manchester seeking to interact and engage with commuters and punters. The objective is to emphasise that "Mornings are a fun and positive experience when they begin with the Galaxy breakfast show.”
As the campaign develops, Galaxy intends to seek out local celebrities to discover their views on how the ‘Robellution’ is ‘changing’ their lives.
Paul Coleman, Galaxy’s marketing director, said the station wanted to "position the Rob Ellis breakfast show as a positive, uplifting experience".
The latest RAJAR figures showed Galaxy had 411,000 listeners in June this year and a 5.8% share of its audience, up from 5.6% for the year to June 2006.
