Ruth Jones and James Corden will be delivering this year’s Anthony H Wilson lecture at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

The Royal Television Society North West launched the annual lecture series last year under the banner of “inspiration.”

Its aim is to give a wide audience access to the creativity of television writers, producers and onscreen talent. Russell T Davies presented the inaugural one.

The Gavin and Stacey creators (and stars) are taking a more informal approach to the proceedings, seeing it more as a Q&A.

"It's an honour to be asked to do this and get to talk together publicly.   But to call this a lecture couldn’t be more wrong, it will be more a bit of fun!  Please lower any expectations and you’ll probably enjoy it,” said Corden.

The third and final, series of Gavin and Stacey is due to be transmitted on BBC One later this year.

Corden won a Bafta for best comedy performance and Jones was awarded best female comedy newcomer at the British comedy awards.

It takes place at Manchester’s Midland hotel on Thursday 26th November 2009. Tickets are available through RTS NW.
