GCap Media is trialling a new online radio player that allows listeners to ‘listen again’ for seven days. Xfm is the radio company’s first brand to go live with the new player.
Xfm listeners are also being offered a bundle of what the station hopes will prove to be goodies. These include using the new player to listen live in broadband quality to the FM stream, email DJs, watch the ‘action’ on the studio webcam and access high quality video content from Xfm sessions and a number of Xfm gigs.
There are also plans to offer exclusive member only audio and video content to members of the station’s Xfm Plus club.
Xfm’s head of online for the network, Nick Peters said: "We're really excited about the new Xfm player and what it offers our listeners. Alongside Mi-Xfm and our super high quality streaming we have the most comprehensive and innovative online radio proposition of any UK broadcaster.
"Now our listeners can access anything they want from the last seven days, watch exclusive Xfm gigs and listen to our sessions archive all in one place. Xfm has always led the way for content and now we’re committed to leading the way in terms of delivery too."
