GMG Radio has drawn up a short list of undisclosed agencies to present for its media buying account. The list includes the incumbent agency Brilliant.
The business is worth around £3m but the radio group is planning to substantially increase its marketing as it promotes existing and new stations across the UK. The company currently has 11 stations and two more will be launched early next year.
Myers Brilliant has handled the media buying for the past four years with Feather Brooksbank managing occasional projects.
GMG Radio Chief executive John Myers said: “We’ve been very happy with the service that Brilliant, and a number of other agencies, have provided for us but after four successful years, it’s time to review our options to ensure we have the right agency for our future plans. This is normal procedure within our division.”
The review will be led by John Myers and group marketing manager Helen Dickinson and is expected to be concluded by the autumn.
Clear Marketing’s relationship with GMG Radio is unaffected by the decision.
