Guy gets over Madonna by hanging out with Manchester creatives | Print |  Email to a friend

Guy Ritchie, Jude Law and Robert Downie Jr are in the Northern Quarter at the moment filming the new Sherlock Holmes movie.

It’s becoming a regular haunt for Law, who also filmed Alfie there.

Elementary
We have a feeling that a number of creative types in the offices nearby will be turning up to work in period dress to blag a part:

"Jude Law had to make way so I could carry all my newspapers and files into the office, and no, he’s not as small as he’s supposed to be," our excited source revealed, somewhat bizarrely.

Downie Jr plays the title role and Law is Watson, the film is being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures.

It's based on a comic by Lionel Wigram, which was inspired by the Conan Doyle books, although Ritchie says it will be faithful to the original texts.
