Lime Pictures has today launched an online audition process in a bid to find the next star for its long-running youth soap Hollyoaks.
Christened 'Desperately Seeking' the initiative sees Lime inviting 18-30 year old female viewers to download a script and then video themselves delivering their interpretation of it.They can then post the performance on an official microsite and await to see if they're one of the lucky 25 to be invited to the show's set for an audition. From this group a further shortlist of 10 will be chosen to meet with series producer Lucy Allan, before the final three appear on T4 for the announcement of the winner on 4 July. Filming will then rapidly commence, with the budding actress appearing on screen from September. The format mimics Hollyoaks' last auditioning initiative when they ran the 'On The Pull' series in 2004 and recruited Roxanne McKee in the role of Louise Summers. Allan said the team were "very excited" about the process and hoping to find "special raw talent." www.limepictures.com Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
