Hollyoaks star Matt Littler to leave | Print |  Email to a friend
Monday, 12 May 2008

Hollyoaks' star Matt Littler departs
Long time Hollyoaks actor Matt Littler (Max Cunningham) is leaving the Cheshire soap, but as you’d expect, it’s not going to be an easy departure.

Matt’s spent a decade in the Village and earlier this month picked up two Soap Awards for Best On Screen Partnership with Darren Jon Jefferies (OB) and Most Dramatic Scene.

“I feel that I have grown up on Hollyoaks over the past eleven years and I’m not only leaving behind friends but also family,” said Matt.  “I wouldn’t change a second of my time at Hollyoaks and working with Darren Jon Jefferies has been amazing – every second of it! I’d just like to thank everyone who has made my life at Hollyoaks a very happy one.”

Producer, Bryan Kirkwood added, “Matt, together with Darren Jon Jefferies have created a partnership in Max and OB that has been at the heart of Hollyoaks success for the last eleven years. Matt is a talented director as well as a successful actor and although Max’s exit marks the end of an era on screen, Matt’s not going too far as he will be directing a few episodes of Hollyoaks in the not too distant future.”

Cheshire’s Lime Pictures aren’t revealing how he’ll depart, but it appears it may have something to do with his forthcoming wedding to Steph (Carley Stenson). Viewers will be able to find out on June 27th.

... because it's a long running show produced by a Merseyside based production company, set in Cheshire. This is a North West media and marketing website. This is a North West media story.
Hollyoaks may well be crap, but this is relevant nonetheless.

Bring back Olivia Newton John and the kitten.

How Do does a good job, but I cannot see how this is of interest to readers, unless they admit to watching Hollyoaks.

The show used to be fairly innocent, it launched when I was about 13 (you do the maths) but as the viewers got older, the show got smutty.
Have you seen Hollyoaks in the city? It's like soft porn with a Bury accent.
Plus you can't get your event included in the MEN these days with out a photo that Toopee woman from Corrie or a bimbo from Hollyoaks with her boobs hanging out in attendance, clutching a goody bag. Maybe Matt can buy himself some Ugg boots and get a part in Spinning Jenny! Haha.

Obviously been a very slow news day at How-Do

well i think this is very relevant seeing as he just won 2 soap awards and hollyoaks is one of the most successful shows to come out of the north west no matter how crap you think it is. i happily admit to watching hollyoaks and i think although it has had its fair share of rubbish actors, it also has some damn good ones and some brilliant storylines, i love it
