Screen Yorkshire has opened up its Indie Training Fund courses to North West based crews.
It’s just announced 2 subsidised courses - Principles of Production Insurance and Introduction to Music Copyright. We’re told this is likely to be the only time these courses will be run in the region this summer. They cost £50 per person per course and run on the same day (13th July) at Carriageworks Leeds. The insurance seminar will cover why and when you need cover; types of cover; how to make a claim; loss adjusting; working with insurance brokers; and overseas insurance. There will also be discussions on common problems encountered during the production schedule. It’s aimed at producers, production managers and coordinators in both TV and film. The music copyright course is in the afternoon and looks at the basics of copyright law; the roles of music industry organisations; the process of licensing music; completion of music cue sheets; and money saving strategies. To book a place please contact Kim Heeramun at Screen Yorkshire, kim@screenyorkshire.co.uk Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
