ITV News says David Cameron is a **** live on air | Print |  Email to a friend
Friday, 16 April 2010

Well, sort of...

The perils of combining live news broadcasting, politicians and online interactive viewer forums were shown off in all their glory last night following the much-hyped UK leaders debate in Manchester.

The offensive posting
Proving the old broadcasting adage that you should 'never work with children, animals or unmoderated online commentary', ITV News encouraged its viewers to get involved with the political debate at its website.

The camera then cut from Mark Austin to a screen-shot of said debate and a rather unflattering comment on David Cameron from a Mr Nick Brett.

You can see for yourself what he had to say about him below.

Kudos to Austin for swallowing his embarrassment, laughter and anything else that was due to leap out of him.

(Update: after the first video was blocked by ITV our thanks go to David C***eron - perhaps not his real name - for sending in a new link)

ITV has blocked it. FYI I think the comment (seen very clearly centre screen) said something along the lines of 'Cameron you are a complete c***. Nick Clegg shows how ignorant you really are'. Or something like that.
It was hilarious.
Anyone else find links to another version of the clip?

Biggest thing in television and UK politics happens here in Manchester just as we try getting Media City together and the NW labelled as a media hotspot. Yet the only commentary from the local pros is schoolboyish tittering about a fuzzy image of an inconsequential jerk's comment on Farcebook.

Not quite so amusing if you share the same name as the poster in question and everyone thinks it was you!!!!!
