ITV has revealed details of its 2009 schedule, including a new Manchester-based drama Boy Meets Girl and a remake of The Prisoner.
Comedy Boy Meets Girl stars Martin Freeman (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and Rachael Sterling (Tipping the Velvet) and it’s a gender defying drama.
As previously reported on How-Do, Freeman’s character gets struck by lightening and wakes up to find himself trapped inside a woman’s body.
He now has to work out bras, relationships and walking in high heels.
The Prisoner is also making a return to the screens.
The original 1960’s version is still regarded as a major cult series which set the standard for fantasy drama.
It also made Portmeirion in North Wales famous, but for the remake producers have decided to shoot the show in Namibia and South Africa.
ITV are also planning a major campaign to get the nation fit. Linking in with the Government's Change4Life initiative, The Feelgood Factor will be appearing across the network, regionally and online.

And ITV descends even further into the primeval world. Who needs another version of The Prisoner? Anyone who remembers ITV as a proud channel -- especially Granada and Yorkshire, will want to read Ray Fitzwalter's excellent book of interviews on how the station was betrayed.
