GMG’s new Manchester-based station Rock Radio has revealed three new DJ’s, bringing its current presenting line-up to five.
Reeve
The station, which launches on 5 May, has signed up James H Reeve, Paul Anthony from Signal Radio in Stoke and a DJ that goes by the name of ‘the Moose’ from Century in the North East.

Of the new names on the bill Reeve is undoubtedly the best known in the Manchester broadcast market, having enjoyed lengthy stints at Piccadilly/Key 103 and at BBC Manchester, Radio Five Live and talkSPORT.

He will now be charged with bringing his dry sense of humour to the weekend breakfast show.

In the other moves, Canadian-born ‘the Moose’ will take the presenting reins on a late morning to early afternoon weekday show, while Anthony, a veteran of 23 years on the radio waves, is set to front an evening programme.

Reeves said in a release from Rock that he was “looking forward to a bit of banter” with listeners between the music.

The latest signings follow on from the capture of Mike Sweeney and Steve Berry as morning and drive time presenters for the station.
