TV and media consultancy K7Media is looking to market the potential of the North West as a programme making hub by introducing international broadcasting firms to MediaCityUK.
Attracting overseas interest The Bramhall-based business works to help clients find TV content from the UK and is keen to push the benefits of looking to the burgeoning regional scene.Last week the firm led a fact-finding mission to MediaCityUK for Nancy Tellem, senior advisor to the CEO and former president of network television at CBS Paramount (and the woman responsible for developing the CSI franchise at CBS), garnering what the team told How-Do was an "exceptionally positive" response. Next month K7 will be welcoming Norwegian state broadcaster NRK to the Salford Quays development and surrounding area, with visits from the Dutch public broadcaster and commercial Finnish broadcaster, Nelonen, to follow. The firm's MD Keri Lewis Brown commented: "Commissioning heads from around the world will be visiting Manchester in the coming months and we would like to show them that they don't need to look to London for great programming. The Salford development is, without question, attracting world interest to our region." www.k7media.co.uk Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
