Wigan’s Wish FM has confirmed that Kev Seed will be joining the station’s presenting line-up as of next month.

Kev Seed returns to the airwaves at Wish FM
Seed
By then, Seed will have spent a year off the air, after Radio City terminated his contract following a drink drive case.

Today Stephen Farmer, UTV Radio’s head of press and PR told How-Do:

“I can confirm that Kev Seed has joined Wish FM, he will be presenting the breakfast show from mid-October.  A full announcement will be made next week.”

Seed, who’d been with Radio City for 11 years was sacked after being found one and a half times over the drink drive limit in October last year.

He pleaded guilty to drink-driving, but expressed his shock at the result as he claimed not to have had a drink for 13 hours before getting behind the wheel.

Hurrah for wish FM - Kev Seed is a great broadcaster and presenter. When he left radio City the breakfast show was never the same again - it lost its sparkle. cant wait to hear him back on the air !!

Richard, "should of went"? WTF? Maybe this is a sign of the way DJs routinely mangling the English language has had a detrimental effect on listeners.

i like kev seed and used to listen to his breakfast show every morning ,but he always spoke of his dislike for drink drivers .he must have known it was the only course of action that radio city could take by sacking him .but good luck to him in his new job.

Kev Seed is a class act and well funny. That Rossi feller who took over his slot at Radio City is appalling. I'll be re-tuning my car radio forthwith.
