Radio industry glossy magazine X-Trax has chosen Key 103’s programme director Gary Stein as its North West programmer of the year.
Stein Stein was awarded the accolade on the back of votes cast for him by radio industry professionals.
The other programmers on the regional list included Steve Collins (Smooth Radio), Brian Paige (UTV Radio), John Ryan (BBC Radio Manchester) and Matt Whyatt (Xfm Manchester).
Stein joined the station two years ago. Key103 has just been nominated for a Sony award in the large station category. He said: “Winning any award is just fabulous but knowing that my colleges and peers voted for this is an achievement. I’m over the moon.”
