Local MP and of course Culture Secretary, Andy Burnham will be the guest of honour at Leigh’s Yesteryear Film Show next month.
The North West Film Archive have looked through their vaults at Manchester Met to pick out some clips from Leigh’s history. Yesteryear "The film show is a great chance for Leigh to enjoy a look back at life in the area over the last century," said archive manager Marion Hewitt. It’s the second Heritage Weekend, which runs from September 11th to September 14th. "The film show was amazingly popular last year, in fact it was a full house and we expect it to be the same this year," said Cllr Charles Rigby. It takes place at the Turnpike Centre on September 12 and is by ticket only. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
