Former Hollyoaks actor, Matt Littler won the National Television Award for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance.
It’s the first time the Cheshire-based soap has won an award at the event. Littler "I never expected to win and I am totally overwhelmed. Thanks so much to everyone who voted. It's been an amazing end to a brilliant time on Hollyoaks," said Littler on winning the award, which was voted for by viewers. As reported previously on How-Do, he may now be turning his hand to directing. Hollyoaks producer, Bryan Kirkwood, who’s also leaving the soap, said: "It's Hollyoaks first ever National Television Award and a sign that Hollyoaks has come of age. Matt Littler is a thoroughly deserved winner of the award for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance and this shows how much Hollyoaks has worked its way into Britain's affections." Something to add?
