Liverpool Screen School has bought top of the range editing and camera equipment as it continues to upgrade its teaching facilities.
Part of Liverpool John Moores University, they have invested in Sony Z1 cameras, sound equipment, Avid Media Composer and 15 Final Cut Pro studios.
Editing In addition they’ve bought chroma key equipment for use in short films and documentaries. The aim is for the 550 students on media courses to be ready for the outside world as they become producers and production staff. While the course itself looks more at the creative process, the new technology prepares them for the new, multi-tasking media world. The school opened a year ago and its board includes Phil Redmond and Lime Pictures’ Sean Marley. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
