The deals see breakfast presenters Mike Toolan and Chelsea Norris commit to what is claimed to be the city’s most popular show in the timeslot, while afternoon host Moorhouse (a cult comedy star due to his appearances on TV’s Phoenix Nights) has done likewise.

Toolan and Norris’ show has 296,000 weekly listeners, while Moorhouse attracts a weekly audience of 194,000.

Commenting on the news, Gary Stein, programme director at Key 103, said: “I am delighted that the team have signed new contracts.

“Between them they’ve delivered some greatly entertaining, amazingly compelling and brilliantly engaging radio. I look forward to hearing Key 103 go from strength to strength in the coming months.”
