Mills Media is spending £40k on new tapeless high definition camera equipment and two Avid editing suites.
The firm, based in Birkenhead has funded the investment through Invest Wirral’s Big Grant scheme, Natwest and Fineline Media Finance. It received the cash to “sustain the level of creative and digital talent in the region,” according to Wirral Council.
“The expansion of technology in the department means that we can offer a greater package of production in terms of picture quality and turnaround,” said head of production Barrie Farrell.
“The equipment is available for wet hire and with two studios we can accommodate a range of projects at the same time.”
With the new kit Farrell said that the company would be targeting a broad cross sections of businesses.
“Giving an organisation a visual presence is something that we have more than 25 years’ experience of,” he continued.
“The growing popularity of the internet makes having an online visual presence vital. Having a business video produced is a terrific tool to explain who you are and what you do to the online community. Public and private sector organisations should harness the medium of film to promote key messages to their target audiences. Business TV can enhance any business no matter what sector or size.”
