ITV has unveiled its Christmas schedule, with news that Caroline Aherne’s new comedy drama, The Fattest Man in Britain, will get its first airing.
Royle Family “Our Christmas schedule has the same wide appeal, with big entertainment and factual specials, some much anticipated new drama and comedy one-offs – alongside all that you’d expect from ITV1 in soaps and films over the festive period,” said ITV’s director of television, channels and online, Peter Fincham.
Aherne’s new offering stars Timothy Spall in the title role, alongside Bobby Ball. Jeff Pope produced the programme with Adrian Shergold directing. Following last Christmas’ ratings success with Take That live from Granada Studios, the group returns once more, this time with Take That: The Circus Live.
Another group with a comeback special on the channel are The Nolans, with a one-off programme tracing them from their early days in Blackpool. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
