Bauer’s City Talk 105.9 has launched a new phase of its deliberately provocative ‘voice of Liverpool’ outdoor campaign.
The campaign went live yesterday with creative work from retained agency partner Ampersand. It follows on in the same controversial vein as the launch activity for the station - showcasing City Talk’s presenters next to some of their more inflammatory on-air comments. Thus Liverpool residents will see Pete Price proclaiming ‘bring back national service for all scumbags’, while Brian Reade proclaims ‘Brand Beckham? Yes. With red hot irons.’ Price is right? The activity will run for the next month across outdoor media, taxis and bus backs.City’s marketing manager Suzanne Grant said of the fresh campaign burst: “This new wave of creative reinvigorates what has already been out and about across the city since the launch in January. “We’ve kept the presenters opinionated quotes, which reflect the style of their show and perhaps pushed them a little further this time. “We expect Brian Reade’s ‘Brand Beckham’ comment to generate most talk.” www.ampersand.uk.com
