The University of Bradford and the BBC have signed a partnership agreement ahead of the Beeb’s move to Media City in 2011.
The agreement covers employment in the media industry and ways to develop new talent across the North.
The partnership specifically relates to the University’s School of Informatics and is hoped it will help to identify new talent, focus on learning and development, build relationships within communities and develop clear pathways into the BBC and the wider industry.
 Thomas It is expected that there will be a range of opportunities for students including live project briefs, placements and chances for students to showcase their work.
Helen Thomas, head of region for the BBC in Yorkshire, said: "It is great news for this region that some of our universities are among the first to sign up to this new, exciting partnership with the BBC.
“This helps illustrate that the move of key departments of the BBC to Salford in 2011 doesn't just benefit the North West, it will also bring long-term benefits to Yorkshire and the whole of the North of England."Earlier this week, Salford University announced a separate deal with the BBC . www.inf.brad.ac.uk
