The assistance the indies will receive includes financial support for researchers on a contractual basis and advice and guidance on how to source and work with available sources of market intelligence.

In total 13 regionally based indies are being offered support in this year’s round of funding.

October North and Scarlet are two of the region’s best known indies.

The scheme is also supported by a number of regional film bodies including North West Vision.
