Ofcom receives petition from failed X Factor wannabe | Print |  Email to a friend

Media regulator Ofcom has received a petition from evicted X Factor and Tower FM favourite, Laura White.

Ofcom receives petition from failed X Factor wannabe
White (Talkback Thames)
White was voted off last week’s show and now her fans are complaining that they struggled to cast their votes.

The petition has 50,000 signatures and it means that Ofcom will have to investigate the set up of the phone voting, just in case some valid votes weren’t counted.

It’s a touchy subject for ITV which was fined £5.7m by Ofcom for "misleading its audience" on several high profile show including Soapstar Superstar.
