The Pie Factory’s Manchester sound stage was one of the main sets for new BBC 1 thriller, Paradox.
"An outlet store nearby?" Made by Clerkenwell Films for BBC Northern Ireland, producers opted to shoot in Salford Quays mainly because of its location:
“The Pie Factory offered us an ideal all-in-one facility for the filming of Paradox. The Manchester sound stage housed our principal set and within only a short walking distance we had our production offices, edit suites and access to green rooms, star dressing rooms and fully equipped make-up suites,” explained Des Hughes, Paradox line producer. “All this, coupled with on site suppliers, an incredibly helpful support staff, 24 hour security, ample vehicle parking plus easy access to the city centre & main motorway links made it a perfect base.”
The Pie Factory is owned and managed by Peel Media. The 5 x 60-minute drama airs tonight, starring Tamzin Outhwaite (Hotel Babylon, The Fixer). Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
