Devised as a showcase for student filmmakers, the festival will this year be offering members of the public a line-up that includes: Paul Abbott in conversation; actor and director Noel Clarke (Doctor Who, Kidhulthood, Adulthood) talking about his work; a writer's forum featuring Shameless scriptwriters; Steve Hewlett interviewing three TV commissioning editors; and an advice section on pitching to producers.
Headline attraction Abbott is also patron of the Cornerhouse and University of Salford supported event, and said of this year's outing: "exposures is a place to show your work off to an audience, and to see how it works – or doesn’t – on the big screen. That’s pretty unique.
“And its late night parties give it a special flavour; it’s a place to strike up friendships, to forge creative alliances and to cook up new ideas. This year, there are opportunities to engage with established TV writers and directors and take part in numerous other activities.”
The event is spread across the two key venues of the Cornerhouse and Urbis.
