Radio City announces presenter shake up as Ross uproots Seed in the morning | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 29 July 2008
Liverpool’s Radio City has made a move to invigorate its current presenting line-up, with a shake up that will see some of the station’s biggest names migrating to new programming slots.

Liverpool’s Radio City has made a move to invigorate its current presenting line-up, with a shake up that will see some of the station’s biggest names migrating to new programming slots.
Seed: gone to drive time
In one of the highlight changes, mid-morning host Simon Ross will move into the Breakfast Show slot to co-present alongside Katy Allerton, who joins the station from Bauer-owned sister firm Radio Aire in Leeds.

The two will take over the 6am to 10am shift from Kev Seed, who will now move on to the Drive Time show after ten years of breakfast presenting.

The thinking behind the moves is, according to a statement from the station, “part of a strategic plan to bring a fresh new feel and sound” to Radio City.

This plan also sees Rick Vaughn moving in to take over Ross’ slot, while the station has also promised the announcement of a new mid-afternoon presenter at some point over the next few weeks.

Station director Richard Maddock said that Ross would “bring a fresh outlook to breakfast on Merseyside.”

What is this all about ???? Since Bauer Radio took over this station everything is going to pot !!!!
Getting rid of Glenn Hunt and Scott Hughes was the worst thing that could happen to the station then to put Kev seed at drive with Rick Vaughn on the mid morning is a disgrace !!!! They should not move Kev, See the sence and stick Kev and Rossie together for breakfast, keep hold of glen for mid mornings, rick shaw in the afternoon , matt wilkins drive time and scott hughes in the night , get rid of the silly evening theropy !!!
