Radio City MD to join Aberdeen radio start up |

Iain McKenna, MD of Radio City in Liverpool, one of the UK’s largest and most successful commercial radio stations, is to leave the EMAP fold to join Original FM prior to its launch in Aberdeen in September.
 McKenna and Melinda Messenger Just a few days prior to his announcement, 37 year old McKenna was collecting a Sony Award as Radio City was voted the UK’s Large Station of the Year. Radio City is Emap’s largest radio station.
In Aberdeen he will be competing directly with another Emap owned station, Northsound.
McKenna joined Radio City from Northsound in February 2006. He joined Northsound as sales director and became MD in September 2004. CanWest won the licence to launch the station in January this year. Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
