The Royal Television Society North West has released what it describes as a ‘bumper’ shortlist of nominees for its 2009 awards ceremony being held on Saturday 14 November.
The dinner at the Hilton Deansgate is being compered by comedian John Bishop.
RTS North West chair, Helen Bullough, said: “Each year I think the quality and range of entries can’t get any better and each year I’m incredibly proud to be proved wrong.
“I have no doubt that our 2009 awards will, once again, make the rest of the UK TV industry sit up and take notice - as our brilliant and diverse productions, producers and on screen talent take a well deserved bow.”
Nominees from the 21 categories on offer include titles such as The Street, Panorama, Cutting Edge, Dragons’ Den, Celebrity Mastermind, Shameless and Unforgiven.
