How-Do has learnt that Paul Ryan, the finance director of MediaCityUK, is set to leave his position at the end of May.
Ryan, formerly the chief accountant, director and production executive at Columbia Pictures/Sony, has been with the business less than a year and held a position that commanded a six-figure package.
How-Do understands that he is leaving to set up a private company with two friends. Further details of this were not available at the time of writing.
Peel Media confirmed that Ryan was set to depart, with a spokesperson noting: "Paul Ryan has decided to leave Peel Media to take up a new business opportunity. Recruitment of a new finance director will begin immediately.
"Paul will be leaving at the end of May, allowing time for handover arrangements to be made."
The spokesperson also relayed a quote from Bryan Gray, chairman of Peel Media, which said: 'I would like to thank Paul for his contribution to Peel Media during our early inception and I wish him well with his new challenge.'
