Xfm’s parent, GCap Media is – subject to the take-over concluding – being bought by Global Radio and a company spokesperson said that: “These stations will remain and fit well within a larger portfolio."
In addition to Manchester, GCap will also be retaining its Scottish (Xfm) station but is planning to close its Xfm South Wales station.
