BBC has jumped on the general public’s increased interest in politics with an extended run of Question Time and a new schools version of the programme.
Lessons in politics Schools Question Time will make its debut on BBC Three on Thursday July 9th from Salford.
"Broadcasting this youthful edition of Question Time is part of BBC Three's ever-growing commitment to serious factual programmes," explained BBC Three Controller Danny Cohen. It’s being transmitted at 8pm. The main show, which goes out after the 10 o’clock news has seen viewing figures rise to more than 3m over the last 6 weeks. "It's been a remarkable period politically and the audience has been switching on to Question Time in their millions,” said Steve Anderson, executive producer for Mentorn Media. "It's the only place on television where politicians are accountable to the public. It's good that people want more politics not less." Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
